Position Summary 

The Social and Paid Media Manager is responsible for driving growth and engagement across all of Return’s social media platforms and Paid Media campaigns.  This includes developing, managing, and reporting on social media and developing advertising strategies that support sales-driven performance targets. .

This role is designed for someone who not only excels in data-driven decision making, but is also a culture sponge with a pulse on the latest media trends and evolution in the social space. The ideal candidate blends analytical and creative thinking; has knowledge of and passion for the social advertising and Paid distribution landscape; is comfortable with social analytics, insights, and measurement; and is a proactive, enthusiastic self-starter who needs little direction. 
**This is a part-time, remote role starting at 15 hours per week for the first 3 months, and will likely increase to 25 hours per week.**

Position Responsibilities

  • Creating and overseeing the production of social media content in partnership with Creative and Marketing Directors.
  • Planning, scheduling, and optimizing daily content and managing communities across IG, FB, and TikTok.  
  • Engaging with our audience by encouraging and responding to comments, messages, and mentions.
  • Implementing strategies that build relationships with followers/influencers to boost engagement and brand loyalty.
  • Setting up and managing the integration of e-commerce across social media platforms (IG, FB, TikTok) delivering sales results.
  • Leading the strategy for and performance of paid advertising across meta, Google, and alternative media like podcasts in partnership with agency/contractor. 
  • Working with an agency/contractor to identify target audiences and create audience segments for precise ad targeting. 
  • Coordinating influencer efforts (overseeing agency) that drive engagement and sales.
  • Monitoring and optimizing paid campaigns to ensure they are meeting performance targets, such as click-through rates (CTR), conversion rates, and return on ad spend (ROAS). 
  • Managing and optimizing annual Paid Media budget to deliver on performance goals.
  • Reporting on Social and Paid efforts and campaigns to assess their effectiveness. 
  • Provide insights and recommendations to Marketing and Creative Directors for continuous improvement. 

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in ad copywriting, channel marketing, social media management, and funnel marketing optimization.
  • Hands-on experience managing social media platforms.
  • Hands-on experience managing Paid Media campaigns.
  • Experience with scheduling platforms, Meta Advertising, Google Ads, Slack, and Google Suite required. (Canva, InDesign are a plus) 
  • Experience working with or managing outside contractors. 
  • Experience managing the following at a fast-growth CPG brand (or agency that serves them) is a plus.
