Landscape Service Professionals, a United Land Services Company (ULS) is a leading full-service landscaping company offering a comprehensive suite of commercial landscape installation and maintenance services. We are currently seeking an Experienced Small Engine Mechanic to join our team. This role is integral to keeping our automotive and equipment fleet in top condition through independent diagnosis, Preventative Maintenance, and repairs. Qualifications
- 2 years of professional Small Engine mechanics and maintenance experience
- Must have own TOOLS
- Clean Florida Driver’s License
- Must speak, read and write English, Spanish and/or Creole a PLUS!
- Computer literate for entering data into Azuga fleet program
- Experience to diagnose and repair problems with 2 & 4 Cycle engines on the following brands: John Deere, Stihl, Scagg, Echo 2 & 4 Cycle equipment such as blowers, edgers, weed eaters, trimmers etc, 36”, 61” & 72” Mowers
- Clear understanding of testing procedures, tear-down and rebuild, proper parts replacements
- Clear understanding of maintenance, filters, clean fuel, spark plugs, cleaning components, sharpening, greasing etc.
- Preventative Maintenance (PM Services) on Ford & Isuzu or similar trucks and trailers such as oil changes, tire changes, lubricating, diagnose and perform light repairs
- PM Services on Ditchwitch, Bobcat, New Holland, Kubota and similar brands of skid steers, trenchers, mini excavators etc. a PLUS! Will train the right person
- Welding and/or fabrication for repairs a PLUS!
- Willingness to learn and work hard will provide opportunities to advance. Will Train
- Must be able to endure Florida whether and have the physical capabilities and stamina to work a full day and perform the related work which includes working with hands for long hours, lifting, work overhead etc.
- BACKGROUND CHECKS AND DRUG TESTING WILL BE PERFORMED
Responsibilities
- Perform Preventative Maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire changes, and other vehicle services on Small Engines, trucks and trailers.
- Evaluate the condition of landscape equipment and make repair recommendations.
- Complete service work orders through Azuga
- Monitor, follow up and schedule PM services
- Ensure all equipment is clean, properly maintained, and in good working order
- Must wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as per the task at hand
