Job Title:Preventative Maintenance Technician
Reporting To: Reliability Supervisor
The technician will be responsible for the following:
- Minor maintenance and upkeep of dust collectors within the plant to keep them within the Department of Environmental Qualities guidelines. This will include, checking or replacing worn belts on fans, replacing worn parts such as solenoids or diaphragms, lubricating fan bearings, adjusting or replacing pneumatic parts to dust collector cleaning systems, and maintaining measuring devices associated with dust collecting equipment, which may require replacement.
- Capturing daily readings from dust collectors throughout the plant and record findings on proper DEQ documents.
- The technician will be responsible for daily emission point checks with an understanding of each stack throughout the plant facility and have the ability to complete the proper paperwork required for an upset condition.
- Responsible for completing Daily Emissions checklist and turning in monthly to stay in compliance with DEQ requirements.
- Complete monthly calibrations on all dust collection differential gauges.
- Employee will attend yearly training to retain the ability to understand stack emissions and what is acceptable within the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality and EPA guidelines.
- Inspect all guarding and apply proper fasteners if any are missing.
- Complete Preventative Maintenance on all blowers, to include checking drive belts for wear, cleaning filters, cleaning or replacing oil sight glass, and complete necessary oil changes on equipment.
- Complete minor and Preventative Maintenance on rock delivery conveyors, adjusting rock guards on belt transitions, cleaning under and around the conveyors daily, checking rollers for proper operation, grease bearings and checking gearbox for proper lubrication as required within the plants PM’s.
- Clean filters on combustion blowers and equipment alike.
- Clear understanding of the difference between lubricating products utilized within the plant.
- Employee will be expected to gain the knowledge necessary to correct an upset condition without creating a mishap in production, by being familiar enough with each process to know what equipment and when you can shut off without creating a product quality issue.
- Technician will be required to participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis meetings to further understand the cause of upset conditions or equipment failures and set corrective measures.
Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
