FLSA: Non-Exempt/Part-time
Location: Various locations in Pontiac, MI
General Summary:
Under the general direction of the Assistant Recreation Manager, provides program oversight ensuring that programs are operated as intended and that all policies and procedures are adhered to.
Typical Duties:
1. Supervises programs at various locations.
2. Supervises directly or through lower level managerial personnel a staff of both full and part-time permanent and seasonal employees engaged in the operation and maintenance of City parks and recreation programs.
3. Monitors child well-being,
4. Reports to manager any issues that need to be addressed.
5. Operates within the capital budget for the department set by the Director and City Council. Keeps track of all department expenses.
6. Maintains records of activities and programs completing reports and making recommendations to city officials on present programs or for the possibilities of future programs regarding parks and recreation.
Requirements
High School Diploma
1 year experience working with youth.
Pontiac resident desired
