Job description

Job Summary:

This position will provide a full range of design, fabrication, and installation of a wide variety of signage and surface coverings. The position will work with wide-format printers, rotary engravers, and laser engravers. The position will design using Adobe Illustrator. The position will develop strategies to execute unique projects and develop solutions to a variety of challenges.

Responsibilities:

Leads staff efforts of the institution's printing operations, and/or schedules work to meet specified deadlines, and operates and oversees machines used for printing to ensure quality production for customers.
  • 40% Sets up and operates production high-speed production machines to produce high quality products to job and customer's specifications
  • 15% Plans and schedules production workflows and facilitates operations of the unit
  • 5% Inspects products prior to packaging to ensure all specs meet expectations
  • 5% Tracks inventory levels and places replenishment orders
  • 10% Leads unit personnel including training, oversight, scheduling, and overseeing day-to-day work of the unit
  • 5% Leads the planning, scheduling, and/or assignment and review of work for a defined project, program, or function
  • 10% Cleans, inspects, maintains and repairs sign-making equipment including, but not limited to laser
    and rotary engravers, digital printers, laminating machine and CNC router, as well as related
    machine software including but not limited to Adobe
  • 5% Creates, designs and produces artwork and or finished signage per project specifications through
    various mediums
  • 5% Applies creative expertise within established brand style and guidelines

Qualifications:

Minimum 3 years sign-making experience required.
Experience with laser engravers, rotary engravers, and large format printers preferred.

7:00 am - 3:30 pm, M-F

It is anticipated this position requires work be performed in-person, onsite, at a designated campus work location.

The starting hourly rate for the position is $35.10 per hour, but is negotiable based on experience and qualifications.
