Job Path is seeking a Program Manager for our Youth Transition Services. Job Path’s Youth Services program serves young people who are still in school or have recently graduated. The goal of the program is to assist people in finding jobs where they can thrive by engaging in discovery activities, job exploration, and work readiness activities to identify each individual’s interests, needs, and skills.
The Program Manager will network with community partners and businesses to develop volunteer, paid internships and employment opportunities is an important part of this role. Compliance and tracking are also an integral part of this job, an ideal candidate will have meticulous attention to detail to ensure that billing standards of the program are met.
Schedule may require occasional weekend or early evening work to participate in afterschool and weekend programming.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following tasks:
Managing a Team:
- Supervision of two full-time Employment Specialists
- Mentoring in all aspects of Customized Employment (including Discovery, Planning, Resume Creation, Job Development, and Support)
- Quality assurance review of case notes
- Tracking authorizations and oversight of billing for youth served under ACCES-VR on an ongoing basis; submitting reports within timeframes outlined in the contract
- Tracking the number of services on a monthly basis, and inputting data into spreadsheets for submission to City Council on a quarterly basis
- Developing internships, employment opportunities, and community/skill building activities for participants in the program
- Ensuring that quality services are being provided to all youth served under the City Council Autism Initiative and ACCES-VR
- Expanding upon existing, and creating new, curriculum for youth- including but not limited to Self Advocacy, Work Readiness, and Career Exploration
- Facilitating groups based on the topics listed above
- Working closely with families of individuals served by the grant; leading occasional workshops for parents and schools
- Assisting people with obtaining eligibility for ACCES-VR and OPWDD employment services, including communicating with families, other service providers, and CCO’s
- In consultation with Directors of Employment and Intake Coordinator, bringing new people into the program based on programmatic requirements
- Maintaining and growing the existing partnership with transition staff at District 75, as well as other schools throughout NYC
- Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent relevant experience with high school diploma)
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in working with people with disabilities, preferably with some experience working in employment or youth services
- Excellent organization skills, follow through, and meticulous attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Dedication to working across teams and perspectives towards shared goals and outcomes
- Comfort and experience working with computers and databases
- Proficient knowledge of Google Workspace
