Schedule: Temporary Full Time - must be available weekends and holidays.
Description:The Shuttle Driver will use Kualoa Ranch vehicles to safely transport Zip Tour Guests from the main ranch to the zip tour site and back again. The Shuttle Driver will organize guests and assist them in loading into and out of the transportation vehicle, ensuring that all guests have signed the Participant Agreement / Assumption of Risk, and meet zip tour body size requirements.
Responsibilities:Represent Kualoa Ranch core values of Aloha, Malama, Laulima, Mahalo, & Po'okela in all guest interaction throughout the day. Safely operate Kualoa Ranch owned vehicles on dirt roads to transport guests from the main ranch to the zip tour site and back again. Prepare transport vehicles each day (fill gas, check oil, check tire pressure, wash interior and exterior, etc.). Check in guests, and provide narration (welcome, ranch history, preservation efforts, Hawaiian culture, etc.) to guests during transport.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Drivers must possess a current valid Driver License with 3+ years of driving experience.
- A good Driver's Abstract from the DMV is also required.
- All candidates will be required to complete a driver certification training provided by Kualoa Ranch.
- Ability to drive manual and automatic transmission passenger vehicles, mechanical aptitude.
- Comfort communicating with large groups of strangers, honesty, integrity and responsibility.
- Able to do physical labor.
- Able to repeat the same duties every day for extended periods of time.
- Work is mainly performed driving transport vehicles.
- Must be able to safely drive on rough dirt roads in all weather conditions (wet, cold, hot, humid, dusty, etc.).
