They have sound audio editing judgment, take pride in their work, and have a high attention to detail. They have a problem-solving attitude and an excitement for innovation. The ideal candidate has an interest in music and pop culture. They have a background in audio production and/or daily show production. On a daily basis, they will pitch story ideas, edit audio segments, arrange and organize interviews, write scripts, and work closely with the station Brand Manager to develop and execute content on-air. This role will help to manage the brand's social media presence with a music and pop culture focus. In addition, this candidate is someone who is comfortable working in a self-motivated environment, and is interested in all facets of radio and digital content creation. Having a sense of humor is also encouraged!

Responsibilities:
Show Producer
- Work collaboratively with the show’s talent on all aspects of content & production.
- Research and pitch segments and/or topics on a daily basis.
- Manage & Edit daily/post show audio & podcast content.
- Book/Organize guests interviews for recordings In-Studio or on Zoom.
- Prep hosts for daily live-to-tape recordings, and pre-taped segments.
- Manage & Archive show’s daily audio content.
- Help to manage show social media pages and posts to radio station social media accounts..
- Work with Digital Manager to create daily video content for social media and digital outlets.
- Will utilize Wide Orbit Automation, Playlist Editor & G Selector daily.
On-Air Talent
- Multi-format availability on air shift including Radio and Podcast. (KALV, KMLE, KOOL)
- Create original content for live/recorded broadcasts that are entertaining, informative and pertain to the station brand.
- Conduct on-air interviews.
- Attend and assist in all market cluster live events.
- Produce and edit audio content and commercials on a daily basis.
- Participate and create original content for all social media platforms; managing online personality presence.
- Conduct Live Remotes and appearances and assist in special promotions and programming activities.
- Will utilize Wide Orbit Automation daily.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Computer literacy in applicable programs and excellent verbal communication skills
- Public speaking skill and ability to interact with listeners and clients in a public setting
- Problem-solving ability and skill in prioritizing
- Ability to interact with management and staff at all levels
- Multitask and handle pressures and deadlines
- Skill in operation of control board, remote broadcasting, and other related production equipment
- PREVIOUS ON AIR EXPERIENCE PREFERRED
Education and Licensing Requirements
- High School Diploma
- A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.
