Editor/Producer/Videographer

POSITION SUMMARY

The Editor/Producer/Videographer will work will all aspects of our in-house video production from pre-production planning through post-production editing.

We are looking for a team player who will collaborate closely with other staff members to create engaging videos and provide result-driven marketing support that will result in lead conversions and help us grow and foster a loyal community.

The ideal candidate must have a thorough knowledge of video editing. Experience with YouTube, Final Cut Pro and Photoshop is necessary and additional skills in videography will be helpful. Duties will include but not be limited to: Assisting in the production of live and recorded video shoots including shoots with primary talents and others; filming basic interview (split screen) videos and b-roll of various action scenes; re-purposing audio for videos and podcasts; preparing videos for various usage; uploading videos to be used on YouTube plus other online platforms; including managing and archiving video projects.

This individual must have the ability to take directions, make critical decisions in the moment, and work well within a team environment. This position will also have multiple day-to-day responsibilities that are time-sensitive and require an elevated level of attention to detail.

Essential Functions:

• Edit, and deliver all video & photography projects

• Create engaging concepts for brand videos and series

• Responsible for maintaining the proper care of all video, audio, and editing equipment

• Stay up to date with the ever-changing social media landscape; this includes keeping up with current trends (especially YouTube), being aware of algorithm changes, and complying with platform specific policies and best practices

• Collaborate with social media team to develop and post to social media platforms

• Be self-motivated to go beyond the job description to ensure you are growing and expanding our reach

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Physical Requirements:

• While a degree in a related discipline is helpful, extensive experience will be highly regarded

• Comprehensive knowledge of computer editing systems, software and related equipment (working knowledge of OBS and Adobe will be beneficial)

• Strong understanding of capturing quality audio using related equipment & cleaning up audio/visual in final edit

• Prior experience with using different virtual communication streaming tools such as Skype, Zoom, etc.

• Strong conceptual and creative thinking skills

• Proficient in using Social Media Platforms, including YouTube, Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and LinkedIn

• Good understanding of marketing principles, social media and photography

• Ability to develop, execute, and leverage social media efforts, resulting in lead conversions

• Ability to follow creative direction, maintain brand standards and work collaboratively

• Ability to respond effectively and appropriately to creative feedback.

• Strong people skills necessary to develop and maintain relationships with all team members and outside vendors

• Experience and understanding of how to represent our brand(s) well across a variety of communication channels

• Ability to demonstrate resourcefulness, accountability, and outstanding attention to detail

• Interest in urban farming and/or Gold & Silver would be beneficial though no prior knowledge is needed

WORK SHIFT & LOCATION:

While work will be accomplished in two main locations within Phoenix, primarily on weekdays, some weekends will be necessary in case of editing needs, emergencies or a rare special event. While videos and social media will be released on weekends, these will generally be planned and executed in advance.

Some travel may be needed to capture interviews and company video with the primary and guests.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
