 About the Role:
The Shop Foreman is required to manage Technicians, delegate appointing jobs to their Technicians, and ensure that the jobs are completed in a timely and proficient manner.  The Shop Foreman will have a good working knowledge of all tools and equipment required to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair what goes through the shop.
Responsibilities & Duties:

• Maintain accurate paperwork and paper flow throughout the Service Department.
• Open and review all work orders. Monitor hours/material quotes for each operation and assist with follow-up of estimates with customer when applicable.
• Review all work orders with the assigned Mechanic prior to starting the job in the shop, making sure the Mechanic understand the quoted hours and repair.
• Perform daily quality checks on all active units. Once the unit is completed, review final quality with the Mechanic and sign off on the work order that all work has been done in accordance with the work order.
• Review completed work orders for the proper material usage and proper story from Mechanic. Once completed, put work order in a completed slot.
• Update Business Intelligent (BI) in Karmak throughout the life cycle of each work order.
• Communicate and report all discrepancies on quoted work order to the Service Manager as it relates to material and labor – this must be done as soon as it is noted.
• Work with the Parts Department to ensure that the Mechanic has all of the material needed to perform the repair.
• Notify the Manager and/or Estimator as soon as possible if at any point in the repair a modification is needed to complete the work. Please provide the recommended information so this can be re-quotes for the customer approval.
• Monitor Shop employee’s progress, attendance, and job quality. Offer performance reports to the Service Manager with any recommendations on improving efficiencies.
• Document in writing, any repetitive problem concerning the Shop floor personnel and/or issues.
• Technician IOI and Karmak reconciliation will be done every morning prior to 8:00AM.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED – Required
• Previous Mechanic Foreman/Management experience – Required
• Previous experience utilizing Karmak – Preferred

Candidates Must be Able to Lift/Carry the Following:

• 100lbs - Infrequently
• 25-99lbs - Occasionally
• 1-24lbs - Frequently
