Shipping/Receiving/ Inventory Clerk
Fremont, CA
IMMEDIATE HIRE
Type of position: hourly/contract-to-permanent position
Duration: 3-month Contract-to-hire
POSITION PAY: $20 to 30 /hr
Hours: Monday thru Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
Location: Fremont, CA
Job Summary: We want a detail-oriented and motivated Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role's primary responsibility is assisting the shipping and receiving department by handling incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all processes.
Responsibilities:
- Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and ensure accurate documentation.
- Prepare outgoing shipments, including picking, packing, and labeling items.
- Maintain organized records of incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Assist in inventory management, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling discrepancies.
- Coordinate with carriers and vendors to schedule and track shipments.
- Ensure compliance with shipping and receiving policies and procedures.
- Assist in the general upkeep and cleanliness of the shipping and receiving area.
Requirements:
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling shipments.
- Basic computer skills and familiarity with shipping software or systems.
- Ability to lift and move heavy packages as needed.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience in a shipping, receiving, or warehouse environment.
- Familiarity with operating forklifts, pallet jacks, or other material handling equipment.
