Our team is growing, and we are seeking to fill a number of key positions within our organization including this opportunity at Trident Dental in Hawthorn, CA for a Shipping & Receiving Supervisor.
The regular hours for this position are from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, and subject to change from time to time.

Primary Responsibilities and Essential Functions of the Position:
- Ensure adherence to all Safety policies and that production floor cleanliness is maintained.
- Supervision of 15-30 Fulltime Employees (FTE) and Temporary (Temp) Employees in the department, ensuring that team members comply with safety requirements and receive training and development.
- Tracking and auditing team performance, analyzing and tracking quality and productivity data for each team member (including temps) and providing regular informal and formal annual evaluation of direct reports.
- Timekeeping of FTE and temps to ensure proper time use and attendance policy adherence.
- Coaching and corrective action to address policy violations, disciplinary and/or performance problems according to company policy, escalating to Department Manager or HR as needed.
- Cross dock operations to include, but not limited to, Intercompany Cross dock and export shipments to Vietnam.
- Inventory Control and ordering of all safety and packing materials for our operations.
- Problem solving issues with equipment, system tools, and carrier support needs.
- Staffing to the appropriate volume needs and escalating to other departments for support when necessary.
- Communication with Broker for import and export requirements and deliverables.
- Accuracy in weight and dimensions of all export shipments to our Manufacturer.
- Directing team member with Shipment status and ensure all FDA compliance requirements are met.
- Closing and locking up the building at the end of each shift (weekdays) and/or Responsible for Opening and closing the building on assigned Saturdays.
- Works closely with the manager to develop the Process for Operational improvements and implement change; works as a member/leader of process improvement projects.
- Coverage for Distribution Logistics Manager for Import Export process.
- Other assignments as directed

Minimum Education and Experience Required:
- High school diploma or GED
- 1-2 years professional experience
Hazardous Materials or Equipment Used:
- All Office Equipment
- Potential Exposure to Blood borne Pathogens
Physical Requirements:
- Works in a warehouse environment, with good ventilation and normal noise levels from office equipment.
- Some lifting between 5 to 60 lbs. may be required.
- Long periods of standing and/or walking may be required.
- Travel may be required up to 5% of the time
