Title of Position: Shipping and Receiving Supervisor

FLSA Status: Exempt

Wage: $50,000-$65,000/annual; bonus eligible

Sojo Industries ("Sojo") is a fast-growing industrial automation company that utilizes robotics, mobility, and modularity to deliver efficient packaging and assembly solutions to the food and beverage industry.

Sojo has built and designed a sophisticated SQF-compliant facility in Pennsylvania ("Sojo Sprint") across its ten automated lines to support a variety of packaging materials such as registered shrink, top loaded boxes, and side loaded cartons to name a few. Sojo is now adding a second variety-packaging manufacturing operation in Redlands, CA to support its growing business with Fortune 500 customers and leading beverage brands. In addition, Sojo utilizes its proprietary mobile manufacturing offering, Sojo Flight, to eliminate freight costs, labor costs, packaging costs and harmful emissions while delivering on-site packaging services. We have implemented state-of-the-art Warehouse Management and Appointment Scheduling Systems.

The Sojo team is comprised of seasoned executives and operators from the food and beverage industry and customers include several Fortune 500 brands, distributors, and manufacturers.

Job Role

The Shipping and Receiving Supervisor will report directly to the Warehouse Manager. They will be responsible for managing overall operations at the Redlands, CA “Sprint” location. This position will oversee the training of personnel, production, warehouse operations, and safety of all employees at the assigned plant.

Responsibilities

• Manage dock appointments and schedule through OpenDock system
• Coordinate with Capacity Planner and Commercial Team for dock appointment priorities and exceptions
• Check drivers in for their appointments and ensure all safety best practices are followed (lock airline, slide tandems and chock wheels, applying load seals, etc.)
• Timely and accurate Input all Purchase Orders and Bills of Lading into WMS
• Enforce Automated Bill of Lading process with each motor carrier transaction
• Inspect all receipts and deliveries for damages and verify case quantities and lot/EXP dates
• Utilize Warehouse Management System (Netsuite and RF-Smart) to input all load-out data and to check inbound loads into inventory
• Communicate with the forklift operators and delegate what tasks are most urgent (which truck to unload first, what load needs to be put away, etc.). Assist with forklift operations when necessary
• Perform periodic, monthly and end-of year inventory audits to maintain accuracy.
• Support the production team as necessary. Help set up lines with product and help clear lines if needed.
• Support inventory control tasks as requested

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of warehouse experience preferred.
• Proficient with WMS systems preferred
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Organizational skills
• Self-motivated with a results-driven approach

Pay: $63,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
