Role Summary
Perform a variety of shipping and receiving tasks. Verify that the received materials are as ordered, route incoming items to the appropriate department/location, and prepare items for shipment, ensuring the product's safety and cost-effective transit.
Responsibilities
- Prepare items for shipment per Job Travelers with all necessary paperwork included.
- Receive and unload incoming material and compare information on the packing slip with purchase orders to verify the accuracy of shipment; may process return shipments from customers.
- Scan/file all material certifications.
- Other duties may be assigned.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blueprints, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
- Ability to communicate effectively with other employees and customers.
- Basic math skills (i.e., add, subtract, multiply, and division).

- Ability to effectively communicate with employees of the organization.
- Ability to understand how their actions may impact other portions of the business.
Education & Experience
- High School graduate or General Education Degree (G.E.D)
Working Conditions
- While performing duties of this job, the employee is regularly in all areas of the building (manufacturing, inspection, shipping/receiving, and office). The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The employee is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and fumes or airborne particles.
