Job Description:

Overview: As a Shipping and Receiving Specialist within our Pen Manufacturing facility, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth flow of materials and finished products in and out of our production facility. Your attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to work efficiently will contribute to the overall success of our manufacturing operations.

Responsibilities:

Receiving:
Receive and inspect incoming shipments of raw materials, components, and finished goods.
Verify the accuracy of received items against packing lists and purchase orders.
Document and report any discrepancies or damages to the appropriate personnel.

Inventory Management:
Organize and maintain inventory levels in the warehouse.
Utilize inventory management systems to track and update stock levels.
Conduct regular cycle counts and assist in periodic inventory audits.

Packing and Shipping:
Prepare items for shipment by ensuring proper packaging and labeling.
Coordinate with carriers to schedule pickups and deliveries.
Generate shipping labels and documentation.
Ensure compliance with shipping regulations and requirements.

Quality Control:
Perform quality checks on outbound shipments to ensure they meet specified standards.
Report any quality issues or deviations to the relevant department.

Communication and Coordination:
Collaborate with various departments, including production, sales, and customer service, to facilitate the smooth flow of materials.
Communicate effectively with carriers and freight forwarders to resolve any shipping-related issues.

Safety and Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the Shipping and Receiving area.
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations related to Shipping and Receiving activities.

Qualifications:
Previous experience in Shipping and Receiving, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Familiarity with inventory management systems and shipping software.
Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in record-keeping.
Ability to lift and move heavy objects and operate material handling equipment.
Good communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
