The Shipping & Receiving Coordinator performs duties to coordinate local and out-of-state shipment and receiving of product based on reservations and schedules.
Essential functions may include, but are not limited to:
- Work from schedules, contracts, shipping and receiving log, purchase orders, bills of lading, packing lists, equipment return forms, cross rental forms, and other similar documentation.
- Communicate the status of shipments within the company as required and trace shipments via common carriers to maintain awareness of current status. Review documentation to ensure that all shipments are appropriately documented including necessary signatures.
- Monitor the status of international shipments and assist to trace shipments as required.
- Record receipts and shipments via company vehicles and common carriers including UPS, DHL, and FEDEX. Package, weigh and measure shipments, select approved carriers based on policy and delivery schedules, prepare bills of lading, initiate purchase orders for transportation as required, and record related data. Contact carriers as required to determine and record freight charges related for specific shipments.
- Respond to internal requests for pickup and delivery of non-contract items. Prepare non-contract shipments, weigh and pack items taking care to brace and pad articles as required to guard against damage in transit, prepare bills of lading, and contact carriers for pick up. Log and track shipments as required.
- Monitor cross rental staging area and communicate requirements for pickup and delivery scheduling to Operations Supervisors.
- Match and file documentation related to orders and shipments in designated filing systems. Research and locate specific documents as required to resolve problems.
- Monitor the unloading of incoming freight utilizing Purchase Order documentation and packing list to insure entire shipment is intact and damage free.
- Assist Purchasing Department in resolving issues relating to shipping and receiving.
- All other related duties.
Base Salary Range: $16.50/hr - $24.45/hr This represents the low and high end of the company's base salary range for this position. Actual base salary range may vary based on various factors, including but not limited to experience.
