Shipping & Receiving Clerk

Job Purpose

At Elite Metal Finishing, LLC., the Shipping Coordinator is highly motivated, self-starter, capable of multitasking in a fast pace environment. The Shipping Coordinator is primarily responsible for all aspects of the shipping and receiving warehouse, including pick up and delivery of parts and supplies throughout the company, checking and maintaining warehouse inventory. The Shipping Coordinator will also prepare and ship orders via UPS, FedEx, Jet Delivery and will assist customer and company drivers with loading and unloading of deliveries.

The Shipping Department supports Elite Metal Finishing quality initiatives, which includes the Quality Policy, Quality Objectives, and Quality Management System and drives continuous improvement initiatives throughout the organization.

Duties and Responsibilities

Primary duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:

• Transport parts and supplies throughout the company, to push orders to production
• Receive purchase orders via UPS, FedEx, or Elite Trucks
• Prepare customer certification packages to go with completed parts processed at EMF
• Schedule freight services including UPS, FedEx and Jet Delivery
• Maintain and stock warehouse supply inventory
• Serve as EMF back-up driver for deliveries as required
• Assist EMF drivers with loading and unloading of deliveries
• Assist customers with “Drop Offs” and “Pick Ups”
• Maintain forklift and golf carts (i.e. clean and charged), load propane bottles
• Provide back-up support to the Shipping and Receiving Supervisor, with shipping duties
• Maintain Shipping and Receiving warehouse in a clean and orderly manner
• Answer overflow of incoming company calls from main switchboard
• Lock up all buildings at the end of the day
• Supporting customer and regulatory audits of Receiving functions and activities
• Supporting the Quality Department by participating in audits, corrective action efforts, adjusting in policy/procedure, generating reports and maintaining records
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

Qualifications include:

• High School Diploma, equivalency or work experience accepted
• Microsoft Office Suite
• Effective verbal and written communication skills
• Excellent Customer Service
• Ability to work independently
• Valid Driver’s License
• Able to lift up to 50lbs. unassisted
• Forklift Driver certified or ability to become certified
• Must be able to work overtime, weekends as required

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $22.00 per hour
