Position Title: SHIPPING & RECEIVING CLERK
Reports to: Freight & Logistics Manager
Location: Buffalo, NY
Position Purpose:
The shipping clerk is responsible for the daily ERP transactions, providing & filing the proper documentation & providing upper management information as required of the shipping department. This includes overseeing all aspects and activities related to operations, including loading/unloading handling, tracking and reporting. The person in this position will also be responsible for interaction with customers and carrier relationships. The shipping clerk will follow the company standards of safety, quality, timely completion, cost & profitability. Pay rate $20-$25 per hour.

Responsibilities:
- Supervise assigned shipping ERP transactions.
- Follow up on assigned daily shipments.
- Work closely with the following: Shipping Manager (SM) & other shipping clerks, Aftermarket Sales Group, Production Planners & Supervisors, Program Managers, Inventory Control Supervisors and Safety Manager.
- Follow up the proper INCO terms as per customer’s contract agreement
- Maintain accurate records for shipment status
Qualifications:
- AA degree or 2 years of Community College (preferred) or High School diploma (minimum)
- 1 or more years of proven experience, (or equivalent combination of education and experience)
- Demonstrated ability to manage and drive multiple high impact shipments
- Demonstrated ability to communicate with customers & carriers
- Working knowledge / experience with ERP transactions, Plex experience a plus.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Programs (Excel/Word/PowerPoint/Outlook)
- Perform other related duties as assigned
