Job Description
We are seeking a Emergency Vehicle Technicians install a wide variety of Emergency Vehicle equipment such as lighting (LED), sirens, radios, push bumpers, partitions, weapons mounts and other equipment as needed by our customers in a wide variety of vehicles for police, fire and public safety agencies.
Minimum Required Skills
- 12V Automotive Electrical Systems – 2+ year experience
- Valid Driver’s License
- Proficient with Sound Off Signal Blueprint
- Proficient with Whelen CORE

- Strong Attention to Detail
- Time Management Skills to meet or exceed deadline Strong Mechanical aptitude
- Ability to read and follow directions
- Strong Organizational skills
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Ability to safely use power tools

- Experience and ability to accurately use measurement tools
- Shop maintenance to include but not limited to maintaining a clean working area, minor inventory control, and other duties as assigned by management
Job Responsibilities
- Install, wire and troubleshoot all electrical components including but not limited to harnesses, cables, relays, circuits and a variety of different electrical components
- Ability to use hand, power and air tools as required
- Read and interpret directions, drawings, diagrams, orders or reports
- Test product to ensure meeting specifications
- Read and interpret installation instructions, assemble parts and use appropriate tools to install components
- Disassembly and reassembly of a diverse group of vehicles
- Fabricate parts, modify existing equipment and/or brackets to ensure proper fit & placement in vehicle.
- Preform quality inspection of vehicle upon completion using Vehicle Delivery Checklist.
- This position frequently stands, bends, lifts, walks, stoops to perform daily work tasks.
