Shipping Coordinator

The Opportunity

Precious Plate is hiring a Shipping Coordinator to join our team. As a Shipping Coordinator, you will perform a variety of activities required to support shipping and receiving, logistic documentation, and inventory management. This is a full-time position, working from 9am-5pm Monday-Friday, reporting to the Shipping Supervisor.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

· Process all material receipts in database

· Issue daily shipping / receiving reports

· Process all shipments

· Prepare required paperwork for international shipments

· USMCA

· SEDs

· Commercial invoices

· Misc. declarations

· Prepare packing slips and associated paperwork (certs, thickness data, etc.) for all shipments

· Ensure all requirements are met as listed in Customer Requirements database – modify as necessary

· Prepare Bill of Ladings and Waybills for all shipments

· Prepare proforma invoices when necessary

· Verify freight Inco-terms / freight charges (COD, 3rd party billing, pre-pay / add)

· Call in / schedule carriers for pick ups

· On-line processing of shipment pick-ups and labels / barcoding

· Process raw material issues of Precious Plate owned material

· Issue / remove NCMAs as necessary

· Filing of all shipping / receiving documentation

· Assist in month end and year end physical inventory

· Assist with checking in material, packaging and other floor work when needed

· Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

Ÿ Minimum high school graduate or equivalent

Ÿ Prior shipping / receiving experience

Ÿ Computer literate – spreadsheets and databases

Ÿ Effective communication skills

Ÿ Interface with multiple departments and function as a team player

Ÿ Highly organized and motivated

Working Conditions

· Environment may be high temperatures depending on ambient outside temperature

· Safety glasses and steel or composite toe boots required

· Exposure to background noise, odors, or dust

Pay: $22.50 - $25.00 per hour
