Northrop Grumman Mission Systems sector is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 2to join the team at our Buffalo, NY location.
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator 2performs a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties; may work out of a central warehouse. Uses computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting. Follows shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements. Receives incoming materials or prepares materials for shipment. (Un)packs or (un)wraps items such as finished products, raw stock, assemblies, parts, building materials, office supplies, equipment, etc. Verifies quantity, weight, and conformance of materials to stated identifications; logs receipt of items on system, processes freight bills, packing sheets, and other documents; reports materials shipped and bills of lading; posts weight and shipping charges and routes merchandise to destinations.
The ideal candidate will be detail oriented, with effective written and verbal communication skills. He/she will have strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment.
Basic Qualifications:
2 years of relevant experience, which includes Shipping and Receiving, material control, inventory, stockroom, warehouse, or similar experience.
U.S. Citizenship.
Ability to move and position objects weighing 50 pounds.
Current valid driver's license with the ability to drive between Amherst building locations based upon need.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working in SAP.
Ability to drive a forklift or work with an overhead crane.
Proficient in MS Office products - Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) security clearance.
