The Opportunity
Cala Health is seeking a Shipping Coordinator based in the San Francisco Bay Area to join our team. This team member will be responsible for coordinating all aspects of shipping, ensuring that products are delivered efficiently and on time. The compensation for this role is an hourly rate of $23.00 - $28.00. Additionally, we offer a robust benefits package. This offering is aligned with our overall compensation philosophy.
Specific Responsibilities include:
- Review and process orders using ERP (Netsuite)
- Pick and pack physical items and generate shipping labels
- Collaborate with sales support to verify shipping requirements and priorities
- Manage finished goods stock and support maintaining material control
- Support shipping requests from other departments within the organization
- Process RMAs by issuing return labels, receiving physical returns and updating records
- Maintain shipping supplies (i.e. tape, boxes, label stock, etc.)
- Follow all corporate, regulatory, safety and production policies and procedures
- Execute company work instructions as needed to support shipping objectives
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications, Skills and Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 2+ years of experience in shipping and courier coordination (international and domestic)
- Proficiency in shipping software with carriers' platforms (FedEx, UPS, USPS, etc.)
- Familiarity with MRP/ERP system such as NetSuite, Brightree, or equivalent
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel) and Google Suite (Google docs and sheets)
- Excellent verbal/written communication skills
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Process orientation when planning and performing work
- Work independently as required in supporting quality objectives
- Maintain an excellent attendance record
- Preferred but not required familiarity and understanding in a regulated environment (ISO 9001), preferably in the medical device industry (ISO 13485 & FDA)
Physical Demands
- Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment for up to 8 hours per day (overtime as needed) performing repetitive tasks, especially during peak shipping periods, which involves standing, walking, bending, lifting and carrying packages or materials up to 30 pounds
- Must have the physical stamina to maintain focus and productivity during extended periods of activity
- Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills to manipulate items accurately and efficiently
- Must practice proper lifting techniques, using personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow established safety guidelines for handling hazardous materials at all times
- Comfortable working in different temperatures, noise levels, and lighting conditions typical of warehouse and office settings
