Job description

Advantage Lifts is a rapidly growing company that specializes in automotive lifts and garage equipment. This position will manage the flow of products from warehouse to customer, set-up LTL, customer pick-ups, and warehouse coordination. They will continually develop processes to make the supply chain more efficient and organized.

Excellent customer service and client relation skills are mandatory. The ideal candidate will be effective in communication, including writing, speaking and interpersonal communication. Must possess problem-solving ability and demonstrate quick critical thinking.

Ability to work independently as well as in collaboration with a team are essential, ensuring that the quality of all services provided meets the required standards. This position reports to the Logistics Manager.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Manages the shipment flow of products throughout the customer experience.
  • Audits, codes, and approves freight and warehouse invoices for outbound and inbound shipments.
  • Provides rates quotations and routings for Customer Support, Sales and Marketing, Procurement, and other departments.
  • Manages inbound and outbound freight with 3rd party warehouse.
  • Assists with overcharge claims for freight invoices and works with carriers to correct billing issues.
  • Contacts core carriers for Proof of Delivery as requested by Customer Support or other departments.
  • Files transit damage claims and associated reports.
  • Follows up with carriers for claim payment.
  • Correspond with customers, 3rd party installers, and customer service representatives to confirm shipping details and desired timeframe.
  • Creates, updates, and distributes spreadsheets for cartage invoicing, partial truckload shipments, multi-stop shipments, etc. and performs analyses as requested.
  • Maintains necessary statistical information and reports required by management.
  • Sorts and distributes internal and external correspondence, reports, and documentation.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

  • Associate degree in business or related field;
  • 2+ years' experience in a data processing position; or
  • Equivalent combination of education/training and related experience.
  • Experience with FedEx Ship Manager® a plus
  • Prior experience in shipping freight required.

Required Skills, Abilities, and Qualifications:

  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Accurate data entry and word processing skills.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
  • Proficiency working in a large ERP System such as NetSuite preferred.
  • Possesses general business and finance acumen, logical thinking, project management skills and sound judgment.
  • Knowledge of working with trucking companies and/or brokers.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines and work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to plan and deal with unexpected changes.
  • Knowledge of transportation, customer service, and accounting processes.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently resolve problems and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Capable of developing and maintaining effective working relationships with team members and other departments within the organization.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
