GENERAL PURPOSE OF JOB:
The Export Shipping Clerk will lead, manage, and coordinate the export inventory warehouse and shipping process. They will provide support to the Front Royal warehouse for exports which includes ownership of the entire export shipping process. The Export Shipping Clerk is responsible for leading and participating in any error resolution, inventory management, communication, and continuous improvement project work. The Export Shipping Clerk will manage outbound shipments manufactured in Front Royal to our global customers and sites to pick, package/containerize to ship globally. The coordinator will schedule and order issuance of all outbound export operational activities for assigned customers, such as pier, airport or rail pickups/shipments, loaded storage, heating instructions, plant deliveries, depot receiving and cleaning instructions when required. Work Hours - M-F Day Shift - Overtime may be required based on business need.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Export
Manage picking, packing, labeling, staging, loading and shipping of all Front Royal Ocean and Air Exports in compliance with DOT, IMDG and IATA regulations for shipments. Manage the process, answering questions, problem solving and resolving issues pertaining to the overall export shipping process. Perform SAP - S4 Hana Transportation Management functions for shipment planning and execution of export shipments. Support Freight Forwarders and Tech Reps in the field Support Distribution safety.
Scheduling and Staging:

• Work with booking agent to schedule container drop off and pick up times based on orders.
• Ensure that all loads have been pulled and have been properly reviewed prior to booking pick up.
• Ensure all export shipments are processed in SAP, including the processing of any damaged returns. Arrange cargo recovery.
• Lead, Direct and assist the export process to ensure orders, containers are filled correctly and timely.
• Ensure required documentation, palletization, labels and loads are in accordance with U.S. and international regulations.
• Certify and complies with Dangerous goods regulations and audits.
• Ensure and inspect check of received containers (seals, content, condition)
• Schedule and order issuance of all inbound operational activities for assigned customers, such as pier, airport or rail pickups, loaded storage, heating instructions, plant deliveries, depot receiving and cleaning instructions when required.
• Work with the NA Export ICR in optimizing transportation shipments while balancing service and cost.

Inventory Management:

• Managing inventory accuracy in the WHSE by monitoring WHSE inventories and making corrections to inventory due to errors and inaccuracies which have a financial impact to the business.
• Assist with SKU's during any Inventory Root Cause Investigations
• When required, participate in annual physical or SOX audits related to Inventory.

Qualifications

• Operate in independent fashion, be self-managed and contribute to a sound team environment, using his or her own experience, good judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
• DOT - IATA, IMDG certification
• 2 years warehouse, 1 years Shipping experience - Forklift certification
• 2 Years SAP Shipping and Warehouse experience
• Experience with Carrier communication and engagement / scheduling
• Basic Microsoft office experience
• Experience with FedEx Ship Manager - Parcel / Freight
