JOB SUMMARY
The Shipping / Receiving Clerk will have responsibility for the distribution and warehousing of all finished goods from Topix Pharmaceuticals, Inc. which includes picking, packaging shipping and receiving of products and materials. This position involves managing all packing, picking and maintenance personnel. The position is also responsible for the monitoring of stock levels to best serve our customers, and promoting and maintaining a safe work environment.
DUTIES & ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
· Receive all incoming shipments, inspect for damage, match receipt against packing slip, PO and enter into excel spreadsheets and QA forms. Documents any discrepancies.
· Help with inventory control by performing stock counts.
· Prepare outgoing domestic and international shipments with the necessary documentation according to the destination and carrier used
· Maintains receiving and warehouse area in organized, neat condition daily.
· Ensure customer orders are complete and shipped in accordance to the specifications indicated on the order
· Ensure no shipments are left to be shipped by designated work day end
· Reconcile daily shipping data and complete reports
· Monitor current and projected workloads to determine when additional time may be necessary to ensure shipment
· Update daily order tracking and summative reports with released and shipped orders
· Receive product into warehouse and notify quality assurance for inspection
· Interface with customer service to ensure that customer specific requirements are met
· Notify customer service when difficulties arise in meeting their requirements and negotiate a workable solution for both parties
· Work with additional carriers to ensure that all customer specific requirements are met
· Close out daily carrier reports and distribute shipping manifest to customer service at end of each day
· Recommend, implement, and support continuous improvement within the department and the company to improve employee performance, quality control, productivity, efficiency, and cost reduction
· Maintain working stock levels of all necessary shipping and maintenance supplies
· Support a proactive safety environment, with emphasis on good housekeeping techniques
· Stay current on all proper shipping methods and requirements
· Cycle counts of product and packaging inventory
· Support department in assisting in packing shipments and building pallets when necessary
· Perform other duties as assigned

· Carrier specific software proficiency is a plus
· Bilingual (Spanish) speaking ability is a plus
REQUIRED
· High School Diploma or GED equivalent. Continuing education or degree in management preferred.
· Strong background in warehouse operations and logistics, including: shipping, receiving, delivery and inventory
· Minimum 3 successful years experience in product distribution and warehousing environment with exposure to quality control
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ WORK ENVIRONMENT
· Physical Requirements – ability to bend, twist, stoop, reach, climb ladders, lift materials up to 50 lbs., and move materials up to 600 lbs. using a pallet jack
