POSITION:Shipping and Receiving
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
This Shipping and Receiving position works in a production area handling the loading and unloading of trucks as well as the inventory of raw and finished product. Typical assignments include the use of loading and unloading truck using pallet jacks or forklifts, keeping inventory and picking products to fulfill orders both internally and externally. Ensures that FIFO is adhered to in handling of products which requires rotation of inventory in warehouse area. Overtime may be required based on production needs.
3rd shift hours will be from 8:00 PM to 6:30 AM Monday to Thursday, these hours will go in effect after training is completed for the position.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS:
- Unload trucks
- Verify counts and weights
- Put away, rotate and maintain inventory
- Label all inventory
- Fill out all proper paperwork, following SOP and HACCP guidelines.
- Stage and ship all outgoing product
- Perform duties in a safe manner
- The schedule is Monday through Friday (7:00 AM to 3:30 PM)
- Process product according to operating procedures and quality expectations.
- Adheres to all safety requirements including PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), preventing and reporting unsafe acts and conditions, Lockout-Tagout procedures, and Process Safety Management related matters.
- Maintains a clean and safe working environment.
- All other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENT
- Legally authorized to work in the United States.
- Ability to multitask and work quickly.
- Ability to work with others in a close environment.
- Demonstrate excellent attendance and punctuality.
- Prefer 1-year prior shipping/receiving experience but not necessary
- Must have a flexible schedule due to varying work hours due to truck deliveries and shipments
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

- Exposure primarily consists of moist floors which include metal and plastic grating surfaces.
- May be exposed to temperatures of 0 degrees to 85 degrees Fahrenheit with ambient humidity.
- May handle frozen product.
- May be exposed to noise ranges of 50 dB to 110 dB.
- Must wear and use protective and safety equipment required for the job as directed by the Company.
- Must handle the weight of 12 to 20 lbs repetitively, occasionally lifting, pushing, or pulling 40 to 70 lbs.
- Exposure ingredients and allergens used in the processing facility.
- Ability to use a scanning gun to do inventory.
- Ability to use powered equipment like Pallet Jacks and Forklifts.
