Shipping and Receiving Clerk

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. As a Shipping and Receiving Clerk, you will be responsible for managing incoming and outgoing shipments, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in our warehouse operations. Duties:
- Receive incoming shipments and verify the contents against purchase orders or invoices
- Inspect packages for damage and report any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate personnel
- Prepare outgoing shipments by packing items securely and labeling them correctly
- Utilize shipping software or systems to generate shipping labels and track shipments
- Coordinate with carriers to schedule pick-ups and deliveries
- Maintain accurate inventory records of received and shipped items
- Perform regular cycle counts to ensure inventory accuracy
- Operate warehouse equipment saws, hammers, nail guns
, - Load and unload trucks using proper lifting techniques.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure smooth workflow in the distribution center

Skills:
- Experience operating forklift, must be certified.
- Knowledge of basic computer skills are a must
- Strong attention to detail and ability to perform basic math calculations
- Must have carpentry skills
- Understanding of distribution center operations and best practices
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to prioritize tasks effectively and safely
