Job Description
The Services & Solutions Director, Practice will lead Lifecycle Services-focused offering and initiative businesses for Rockwell Automation. The Practice Director supports the direction and development of the regional teams of domain experts and sales specialists for early sales cycle engagement in opportunities. You will manage a team of sales leaders and professionals in collaboration with capability leaders and account, industry, and functional leaders. You will have ownership for providing 3 year strategic and 1 year execution plans focused on achieving orders/sales growth, achieving sales excellence, improving customer experience, and promoting engagement for the capabilities of Cybersecurity & Networks and Production Automation Solutions. The Practice Director will manage a sales team of leaders and professionals in collaboration with Lifecycle Services capability leaders and Rockwell Automation's account, industry, and functional leaders.
As a partner with the Lifecycle Services (LCS) team and Services & Solutions Directors (SSDs) for each segment of Territory, Discrete, Hybrid, and Process, you will be accountable for not only driving accelerated, sustainable business growth but also continuing to enhance employee engagement and continuing to foster a culture of ethics, integrity, and inclusion where everyone feels empowered to make an impact every day.
The Practice Director will report directly to the Regional Vice President of Sales, Services & Solutions and will have direct reporting leadership for the following types of roles: Commercial Managers, Sales Managers, Solution Consultants, and Sales Specialists.
Position Summary
- Partner with sellers to ensure collaboration between sales and the services and solutions businesses meet the needs of customers and achieve our goals.
- Achieve Annual Orders and customer satisfaction index targets.
- Ensure escalation for successful project delivery, contractual commitments, transactional performance, and communication plans to keep RA Sales and Distribution informed.
- Contribute to constructive conflict resolution, pre and post sales, with partners including customers, sales, channel, and BU.
- Recruit best talent for service and solution leadership team and domain expert, sales specialist, and field talent base needs.
- Lead programs to enhance the structure, culture, and talent mix to support the growth and performance of North America sales operating model.
- Ensure teams find services and solutions capabilities and practice cooperation that link customer drivers and create value for the customer across Asset Optimization & Workforce, Cybersecurity & Networks, Digital, and Production Automation.
- Main owner of priorities including Annual Recurring Revenue, Cybersecurity & Networks, Digital, Information Solutions, and Process (DCS) Solutions.
- Assure the use and implementation of standard processes within the region including disciplined sales, win strategy and lifecycle services value promise for delivery.
- Oversee the delivery strategy, balancing PartnerNetwork and RA delivery to better serve the customer base.
- Knowledge of industry trends and competitive environment including all customer needs.
- Maintain close linkage with Business Leaders to ensure the right service/solution offerings are developed and presented across all customer segments.
- Support the RVP in maintaining the right mix and capability of commercial resources to maximize results.
- You will have deep consulting experience and accomplished in developing new business and managing sales cycle.

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or (4) years equivalent of relevant experience
- Ability to travel up to 25% domestically
- Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas, now or in the future, for this job opening.
- Valid drvier's License
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science degree in Business, Engineering, or an equivalent discipline. Additional business-related degree/experience.
- Typically requires 8+ years management experience.
- Field P & L Experience is beneficial.
- Software industry & Automation experience.
- Field Management Experience
- You have deep services and solutions expertise with industry domain knowledge - and experience within a top-tier ecosystem consulting firm, systems integrator, or successful services and solutions sales experience
- You have experience creating client value propositions.
- Successful track record working with C-Level clients identifying issues, and developing cybersecurity, digital transformation and advanced automation services and solutions.
