Position Summary
Examines and diagnoses farm equipment issues, performs repairs, and documents work, while following safety practices.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Performs all repairs on farm related equipment with limited supervision and within capability/skill level.
Caters to the specific needs of each repair order efficiently and accurately. This must be done within both dealership and factory requirements.
Provides in-depth examinations of equipment, to determine if any safety or service work is needed or recommended.
Diagnoses malfunctions, organizes appropriate repair procedures and performs the necessary repairs.
Disassembles and assembles machines/components. Reconditions/repairs as required.
Clearly documents and records work that is performed on the repair order under his/her supervision.
Effectively communicates with the designated service manager or advisor when adjustments and additional work is needed.
Test runs equipment when required or refers to the test technician/Service Manager.
Possess tooling required by the service department.
Works overtime as required by workload and customer need.
Demonstrate safe and proper application of hand, pneumatic and electric tools.
Successfully completes appropriate training sessions as required.
Builds competencies and shares skills with other technicians, retains acquired knowledge.
Stays current with equipment and product lines.
Maintains / operate company vehicles in a safe manner.
Performs departmental and equipment cleanup as required.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 - $45.00 per hour
