Form of workMercyOne Waterloo is looking for an Endocrinology Locum provider to cover long term starting as soon as credentialed!
- Clinic only Monday-Friday, 6+ month assignment
- 8a-5p, 1 hour unpaid lunch
- Need to be able to see new patients and follow ups
- At least 12 patients per day
- no procedures
- treatments required: full spectrum on endocrinology. We also do bone density in this clinic. We do have a stand along cancer treatment center within a few blocks, so cancer patients can be referred there for specific cancer treatments, but would follow up with endo for ongoing care. Must be willing to prescribe anti-obesity meds (phentermine, Topamax, wegovy, etc) along with the following patients (via labs an/or visits) for drugs such as methimazole and levothyroxine. A lot of diabetic patients. We have diabetic educators that can assist with education and sensor downloads.
- Diabetes, cushings, graves, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, parathyroid carcinoma, adrenal cancer, thyroid cancer
- EMR: EPIC

- Estimated credentialing timeframe: 30 days
- Board Certified or Board Eligible(within 5 years of training)
- IA license
- BLS or ACLS - willing to obtain
- must be local (no flights)
- Iowa Medicaid enrolled (preferred)
- Must be available full time
