Service Shop & Dealership Custodian - Sioux Falls

TranSource Truck & Equipment, Inc. is looking to hire a custodian person for our Sioux Falls location branch.

Job Description:

We are looking for a responsible person to maintain and protect our facilities. The external and internal appearance of a building reflects on the occupants. It is important for this person, to be careful and thorough in working, cleaning and tidying the premises. Reports directly to the Service Manager.

Specific Duties Include:

• Ensure spaces are prepared for the next day by taking out trash, tidying furniture, dusting surfaces;
• Will keep our shop bay areas tidy by sweeping, emptying garbages, crushing filters, etc.
• Performs routine building maintenance in such a manner as to minimize interruptions of customers or employees;
• Mops & cleans service waiting area, offices, technicians' locker room, lunch room, halls, and bathrooms;
• Cleans bathrooms and restocks paper supplies as needed;
• Cleans oil storage tanks according to procedures;
• Mow lawn, trim shrubbery, keep lot picked up and shovel the front walks during the winter;
• Runs errands as directed by managers;
• Other duties as assigned.

• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
• Proven experience as a custodian, janitor or in a similar role; dealership experience preferred, must be able to communicate with technicians
• Knowledge of use and maintenance of industrial cleaning equipment;
• Familiarity with basic landscaping and handyman practices;
• Very good physical condition and strength to be able to Push/pull up to 80 lbs. and Lift/carry up to 70 lbs.
• Neck rotation, trunk rotation, stair climbing, repetitive bending, kneeling, sustained squat, forward reaching, overhead reaching, crawling, walking.
• Working conditions may be indoor/or outdoor. Noise level may be loud at times.
• Wage $17.00 an hour - $19.00 - This position could be FT or PT Monday - Friday

Must have a valid driver's license and will be required to pass a background check and pre-employment drug test.
