Talent Program: The Bridge between School and Professional Success

A Society’s collab with Nexer Tech Talent offers a smooth transition from your studies to a fulfilling career. As a participant, you will be employed by A Society but have a specific role at Volvo. You'll join a cohort of emerging talents and embark on a customized training journey, blending daily work with skill enrichment to amplify your technical knowledge and your soft skills. A large part of the education is spent on courses such as personal growth, leadership and group dynamics.

During your time in the Volvo Tech Program, you'll be mentored by seasoned professionals at Volvo and receive dedicated guidance from a Consultant Manage. With us, you're not just a consultant – you're part of a family. Attend enriching lectures, relaxed after-work events, and engaging lunch meetings. Upon completing the Talent Program, our goal is to welcome you to a permanent position at Volvo.

Requirements

Who Are We Looking For?

- One semester of working experience as a student engineering intern or co-op in automotive or other transportation industry.

- B.Sc. Mechanical Engineering, or related field, M.Sc preferred

- Ability to effectively communicate with and provide feedback to a diverse workforce with differing skill sets and experience.

- Bright and analytical tech individuals with a strong ability to solve complex problems and make decisions based on limited information.


Responsibilities:

  • Mission to lead developing efficient Spare parts, service & repair solutions to maximize vehicle uptime, thereby creating competitive product advantage in aftermarket business.
  • Develop, document and optimize Spare parts solution needed for technical repair.
  • Develop, adapt and document repair methods & standard times on component, system and vehicle level.
  • Develop, adapt and document special tools needed to perform repair methods.
  • Participate in internal technical review related to spare parts, repair methods and standard times to assure coherence.
  • Ensure that the repair methods & standard times fulfill Volvo group’s safety and quality objectives.
  • Secure to verify, validate and quality assure technical solution prior to introduction in systems.
  • Ensure the technical solution is synchronized with stakeholders and taking holistic view of entire product value chain.
  • Take ownership of the Parts Assortment and repair methods throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Close collaboration with Product Development Engineering to share learning from market and product performance to enhance vehicle uptime.
  • Secure the Diagnostics strategy and repair/replace strategy are aligned through cross-functional collaboration
  • Secure that reman solutions are planned for, documented, and structured correctly in KOLA documentation and downstream systems through cross-functional collaboration with PD and reman strategic offering organization
  • Understand the full value chain and ecosystem of spare part assortment, offering and stocking policy to use business knowledge and drive effective decisions in the spare part judgement process
  • Use machine learning and business intelligence to drive efficiencies in the day-to-day work to improve dealer workshop autonomy and maintenance effectiveness
  • Drive optimization in spare part assortment to reduce overall inventory cost and drive profitability in spare part offering
