Talent Program: The Bridge between School and Professional Success

A Society’s collab with Nexer Tech Talent offers a smooth transition from your studies to a fulfilling career. As a participant, you will be employed by A Society but have a specific role at Volvo. You'll join a cohort of emerging talents and embark on a customized training journey, blending daily work with skill enrichment to amplify your technical knowledge and your soft skills. A large part of the education is spent on courses such as personal growth, leadership and group dynamics.

During your time in the Volvo Tech Program, you'll be mentored by seasoned professionals at Volvo and receive dedicated guidance from a Consultant Manage. With us, you're not just a consultant – you're part of a family. Attend enriching lectures, relaxed after-work events, and engaging lunch meetings. Upon completing the Talent Program, our goal is to welcome you to a permanent position at Volvo.

Requirements

Who Are We Looking For?

A motivated and qualified Project Manager, who wants a challenging and rewarding career opportunity. This individual will support a dynamic team working with the latest technology in Automotive Testing and will also contribute to the overall project performance.


Qualifications

- One semester of working experience as a student engineering intern or co-op in automotive or other transportation industry.

- B.Sc. Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

- Ability to effectively communicate with and provide feedback to a diverse workforce with differing skill sets and experience.

- Bright and analytical tech individuals with a strong ability to solve complex problems and make decisions based on limited information.


Main responsibilities:

•Support Complete Vehicle PM on daily planning and task execution

•Coordinate and monitor Verification and Validation activities with Complete Vehicle PM’s input

•Compile test request influx and coordinate the planning with Complete Vehicle PM

•Work cross-functionally to define test priorities

•Support Complete Vehicle PM to keep track of budgets and project expenditures as needed

•Independently drive delegated tasks and monitor their progress

•Proactively notify Complete Vehicle PM if there is a risk of missed deadline

•Provide task-level updates to Complete Vehicle PM

•Support Complete Vehicle PM on administrative duties

•Attend various meetings and communicate meeting outcome

•Work closely with Certification and Compliance engineer to follow-up on engineering report for regulatory tests

•Create Test Completion matrix to compile major test status, progress, and results

•Schedule and support vehicle clinics


Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:

•Bachelor of Science degree in Engineering

•Leadership & Project management experience preferred

•Quality tool skills (Risk analysis, FMEA, Project Assurance quality)

•Experience with SAFe Agile methodology preferred

•Good communication skills and positive mind-set

•Strong interest in developing relationships with stakeholders
