As a Server/Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while serving food, beverages, and alcoholic drinks in a fast-paced restaurant or bar environment. You will interact with guests, take orders, prepare drinks, and ensure a pleasant dining or drinking experience. Attention to detail, strong communication skills, and the ability to multitask are essential for success in this role.

Job Duties:

• Greeting guests warmly as they enter the establishment and guiding them to their tables.
• Presenting menus and explaining menu items, specials, and promotions to guests.
• Taking food and beverage orders accurately and efficiently, ensuring special requests or dietary restrictions are communicated to the kitchen and bar staff.
• Serving food and beverages promptly, ensuring accuracy and quality.
• Preparing and serving alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, including cocktails, beers, wines, and soft drinks, according to established recipes and standards.
• Checking identification to verify legal drinking age and refusing service to underage or intoxicated guests.
• Maintaining a clean and organized bar area, including stocking and replenishing supplies, such as glassware, utensils, napkins, and garnishes.
• Processing payments, handling cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately, and providing guests with receipts.
• Collaborating with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of food orders and communicate any special requests or modifications.
• Monitoring guest satisfaction and addressing any concerns or complaints promptly and courteously.
• Upselling additional menu items or promotions to increase sales and enhance the guest experience.
• Adhering to all food safety and alcohol service regulations and policies, including responsible alcohol service practices.
• Collaborating with other team members to maintain a positive and productive work environment.
• Assisting with opening and closing duties, including cleaning and sanitizing work areas, restocking supplies, and completing cash-out procedures.
• Participating in training sessions and meetings to enhance product knowledge, customer service skills, and job performance.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a similar role, preferably in a restaurant or bar setting.
• Strong knowledge of food and beverage preparation techniques, including cocktails and alcoholic beverages.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with guests and team members.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and multitask effectively.
• Basic math skills for processing payments and handling cash transactions.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in order taking, food and beverage preparation, and cash handling.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure and handle difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
• Knowledge of food safety and alcohol service regulations and willingness to adhere to company policies and procedures.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $20.25 - $22.51 per hour

Expected hours: 25 – 30 per week
