- Manage a team of SEO specialists in all aspects of managerial responsibility, coaching, development, performance feedback, and monitoring and assigning work.
- Coordinate with internal cross-functional project teams to create strategic marketing plans for organic web marketing.
- Develop and execute comprehensive search engine optimization strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Conduct SEO and content audits, keyword research, competitive analysis and benchmarking to identify opportunities for improvement and stay ahead of competitors in search rankings.
- Collaborate with content creators and digital marketing teams to develop and optimize high-quality, keyword-rich content for improved organic visibility.
- Identify technical SEO issues and collaborate with the web development team to implement solutions for improved website performance and user experience.
- Monitor and analyze website performance using SEO tools and analytics platforms, providing regular reports and recommendations for optimization.
- Oversee and help support the testing program led by the senior SEO specialist to increase conversion rates and drive leads.
- Understand and direct link-building activities to ensure quality links from reputable sources with 3rd party vendors.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as content, design, and development, to ensure optimal content performance.
- Proven experience and success as SEO Manager or similar role, with 5+ years managing SEO projects for various websites, including enterprise-level companies.
- Familiarity with relevant tools (e.g., Conductor, GSC, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, MOZ Local) and web analytics (e.g., Google Analytics).
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational, time-management, and leadership skills
- Experience with working on websites in one or more of the following areas: content design, copywriting, content management/production, or imaging editing, to name a few.
- Professional experience with Drupal, WordPress, or similar HTML CMS (Content Management System) backends.
- Knowledge and experience with A/B Testing, Personalization, SEO testing, and experimentation.
- A bachelor’s degree in marketing or a related field required from a regionally accredited institution is preferred, and if not, add two more years of work experience as minimum requirements.
- Minimum of three years of professional experience within a digital agency, marketing department, or other corporate environment
