Overview:
Weedmaps is looking for an innovative and experienced Marketing leader with a track record for driving and scaling marketing teams to help Weedmaps continue to create the modern cannabis industry. You will grow & lead our Brand, Field, Creative, PR, and User Acquisition teams. Responsibility for planning, developing, implementing and monitoring the overall business marketing strategy in partnership with the C-suite. You should be able to quickly ramp up on our unique industry, business and work with the executive team, the marketing organization, and cross-functional stakeholders to advance key business priorities to achieve our goals.
As a strategic leader of the organization, your role will require you to work collaboratively across the rest of the Marketing, Revenue, Operations, and EPD teams to help identify and tackle key market opportunities based on a deep, data-driven understanding of markets and consumer behavior.

- Build an integrated marketing strategy across all disciplines in partnership with the Revenue & EPD
- Develop a holistic plan to acquire, engage and re-engage our consumer base across legal cannabis markets
- Continuously test & assess effectiveness of Marketing tactics & channels
- Develop GTM motions for B2B, B2C, B2B2C
- Hire, train and retain a top-performing marketing organization
- Set marketing goals and objectives for each of the marketing functions
- Create a hyperlocal strategy & plan for both B2B, B2C, B2B2C marketing initiatives
- Set, own & report out on marketing performance
- Own & manage the Weedmaps marketing budget
What you've accomplished:
- BA/BS degree, MBA in business (not required), management or a related field
- At least 10 years work experience in marketing; 5+ leading marketing functions
- Proven track record of owning department wide marketing performance
- Experience in a culturally critical & changing industry
- Experience scaling marketing, research and go to market projects
- Experience with DTC, retail and marketing in complex industries
- Proven ability to hire, manage and develop marketing teams at scale
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to achievement of strategic objectives across
- Ability to deliver high-quality work while managing multiple projects
- Ability to quickly identify trending issues and create remediation plans
- Exceptional ability to work under pressure and maintain good judgment in fast-paced, high-stress environments
- Strong communication skills, and ability to clearly articulate complex business issues to different stakeholders
The base pay range for this position is $250,000.00 to $286,000.00 per year
