JOB SUMMARY
The Senior Vice President of Finance is responsible for the overall financial direction of Blue Mountain and its subsidiaries. This role requires a senior finance leader delivering high-level expertise and knowledge to support the Chief Executive Officer on and executive team members in the implementation of a best practice approach to both strategic and tactical Finance operations. This is a hands-on role with responsibility for annual budgeting, monthly forecasting, long-range business planning, cash forecasting, tax strategy and implementation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with senior management to identify, develop, and execute business strategies
- Responsible for working with financial institutions to identify and secure project loan financing
- Responsible for evaluating project pro-forma’s
- Establish and implement corporate financial and accounting policies, procedures, and structures within the boundaries established by the Board of Directors.
- Provide administrative and technical direction to all financial operations (company, project, subsidiary) to insure corporate financial data is as accurate as possible.
- Establish and direct all short-term and long-range financial plans consistent with corporate philosophy.
- Direct the processing and dissemination of financial data required by executive team to establish and maintain operating budgets and related controls procedures.
- Provide guidance and direction to subordinate executives and managers toward their professional development, to insure and maintain a competent business unit.
- Serve as a member of the management team providing financial data and analysis as required.
- Insure a positive financial posture is maintained for the corporation and subsidiary units.
- Provide corporate leadership to other executives and managers to ensure financial success within their operational scope.
- Perform as directed by President or Board of Directors.
KEY JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Advanced knowledge of the construction, real estate, and manufacturing industry required
- Extensive experience in the management of construction companies preferred
- Four-year business/accounting degree with advanced degree preferred
- Extensive experience (over 15 years) and knowledge of all aspects of corporate accounting, taxation, and financial management required
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, leadership, and organizational skills vital
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Work is performed indoors in an office setting. Lighting is artificial. Equipment used includes standard office equipment i.e. computer, telephone and copy machine. Physical demands include sitting, standing, walking, repetitive use of either or both hands. Hours and days are primarily Monday through Friday; however, weekends and evenings will be required as business needs dictate.

In addition to base salary, this job may be eligible to participate in our corporate discretionary bonus program, and depending on the position offered, it may also be eligible to receive a commission. We set standard base pay ranges for all roles based on function, level, and geographic location, benchmarked against similar industry companies. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including, skills, depth of work experience and relevant licenses/credentials, and may vary from the amounts listed below.
The base pay range for this position is: $150,000 - $185,000.
