The Company’s portfolio of core technology and products offer unique capabilities in the areas of high-performance computing, artificial intelligence, cyber security as well as remote sensing applications.


Position Description

The SVP of Business Development will play a pivotal role in shaping QCi’s commercial strategy and ensuring the company's financial health. This new role will be responsible for developing and executing revenue generation initiatives, forging strategic partnerships, and driving sales to accelerate the growth of Quantum Computing Inc. We are seeking a seasoned executive with a strong background in go-to-market execution, technology sales, and Business Development in both Federal and commercial markets.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Business Development:

    • Responsible for both commercial and government Business Development and building out those efforts 

    • Identify and cultivate strategic partnerships to enhance the company's market presence and drive revenue growth.

    • Evaluate potential business opportunities, negotiating and closing deals to expand the company's footprint in the quantum computing industry.

  • Revenue Strategy and Planning:

    • Develop and implement a comprehensive revenue strategy aligned with the company's overall goals and objectives.

    • Collaborate with the executive team to set revenue targets and establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure success.

  • Sales Leadership:

    • Oversee commercial and government BD/capture

    • Lead and foster a high-performance culture on the sales team that drives results.

    • Provide strategic direction for the BD team to penetrate new markets and expand existing customer relationships.

  • Market Analysis:

    • Stay abreast of industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decision-making.

    • Conduct market analysis to identify new business opportunities and potential areas for growth.

    • Collaborate with Marketing partners to ensure communications, materials, and relationships are aligned with the latest product development

  • Customer Success:

    • Collaborate with customer success teams to ensure client satisfaction, retention, and the delivery of high-quality services.

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and stakeholders.

  • Financial Management:

    • Manage and optimize pricing strategies, revenue forecasting, and budgeting to meet financial objectives.

    • Drive initiatives to improve overall profitability and financial performance.


Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA, PhD) is preferred.

  • Demonstrated success in developing and implementing successful revenue strategies within the quantum computing industry or other rapidly developing technology sector.

  • Extensive experience (25+ years) in Business Development, forging strategic partnerships in government and commercial settings, including establishing and growing strategic relationships with large systems integrators. 

  • Deep understanding of quantum computing concepts, technologies, and their potential applications in various sectors.

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills with the ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Demonstrated leadership experience, with a track record of successfully building and leading high-performing teams.

  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to establish and maintain relationships at the executive level

  • Proven experience as a senior executive in a quantum computing company or a related technology field preferred

  • Exceptional communication and negotiation skills.

  • A results-oriented mindset with a focus on achieving revenue targets and business growth.
