Avid Core is seeking a Senior Communication Analyst/Vice President with experience in supporting international programs for a federal government client in Washington, D.C. We’re looking for a passionate, detail-oriented person interested in supporting an international global security program.
The position offers hybrid work flexibility, working from a home location and client location with the expectation of attending meetings at the client site in D.C. as required.

Salary Range: $125,000-$165,000, based on experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
- Directly supports and manages communications for international programs
- Develops and executes outreach strategies with the goal of increasing intra-agency collaboration within the federal agency and department
- Convening reoccurring coordination calls and IPTs with internal stakeholders and overseeing the production of newsletters, briefings, updates, story mapping, and other tools
- Works closely with senior leadership to develop and execute external stakeholder engagement and outreach strategies with the goal of building partnerships and coalitions with key international stakeholders
- Hosting reoccurring webinars with external stakeholders and working with the Chief of Staff to schedule and prepare for in-person meetings with key international stakeholders
- Oversees the development of responses (brochures, briefs, fact sheets, papers, website content updates, etc.) to internal and external requests from DHS, Congress, the media, and other stakeholders
- Provides subject matter expertise regarding strategy for responding to Congress, the media, etc.
- Works with subject matter experts, program managements, and other team members to develop accurate and concise reports for senior leadership
- Provides technical review on briefings, reports, etc., prior to dissemination to senior leadership
- Facilitates internal meetings and oversees the development of meeting summaries and after-action reports
- Oversees event planning logistics for conferences and other stakeholder meetings
- Tracks internal and external stakeholder engagement activities
- Completes other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Skills:
- 15+ years of communications experience supporting a Federal Agency
- Experience in International Relations is preferred
- Proficiency with the full Microsoft suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint)
- Exceptional editing and data analysis skills to ensure deliverables submitted to the client for final approval are error-free
- Experience with WebEx, Zoom, and other virtual meeting platforms
- Ability to obtain public trust security clearance

Education:
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in communication, business, international studies, or similar field.

Location:
This is a hybrid position. The candidate must be able to commute to the client location in Washington, DC on a routine basis and be available for ad-hoc meetings. Candidates will be provided a computer, however must have steady internet connection and a phone.
