SVP/Market Manager - Seattle

 

Audacy has an incredible opportunity to lead our Seattle cluster!  Audacy Seattle is comprised of five FM stations that include several market icons, owning unique and diverse positions in Seattle's audio, digital and event landscape.

 

The ideal candidate has proven and consistent success in all aspects of leading a top performing market including strategic planning and execution, gaining market revenue share, year over year growth, successful brand management and ratings, exceeding EBITDA and revenue goals, and leading a successful  collaborative team.


Responsibilities:

  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement strategic plans to drive revenue growth, increase market share, and maintain a strong competitive position within the market.
  • Sales Management: Works with the Director of Sales to lead the sales team, sets revenue targets, and monitors their performance. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and provide sales training and support to meet and exceed revenue goals.
  • Client Relationships: Build and maintain strong relationships with key advertising clients, advertising agencies,  business partners, and community leaders to secure and grow advertising revenues.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure efficient and effective station operations, including programming, digital content, promotions, events and technical aspects. Monitor compliance with FCC regulations, company policies and local laws.
  • Budget Management: Manage budgets ensuring expenses are controlled and revenues are maximized to meet financial objectives.
  • Audience Development: Collaborate with the programming department to develop and implement strategies to attract and retain listeners, ensuring strong ratings and audience engagement.
  • Market Analysis: Stay informed about market trends, competition, and demographic changes to make informed decisions and adapt strategies accordingly.
  • Community Engagement: Foster positive community relationships, participate in community events, and represent the station's interests in the local area.
  • Marketing and Promotion: Oversee the development and execution of marketing and promotional campaigns to increase brand awareness and audience engagement.
  • People & Culture: Recruit, train, grow and manage a solid team of audio, digital & entertainment professionals, setting clear performance expectations and fostering a unified, inclusive, positive working environment.

About You: 

  • You are a Market Manager or Operational leader with a multi-year track record of success.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed revenue targets and drive profitability
  • Minimum of 5 Years experience leading a media operation 
  • Proven track record of developing and executing sales strategies
  • Pricing & Inventory Skills
  • Multi Brand Sales & Brand Management
  • P&L responsibility and demonstrated solid business judgment
  • Proven results in building measurable success in integrated marketing campaigns – Digital (big focus)/ Mobile/ Direct Email / Ecommerce channels and all NTR channels
  • Successful track record building digital assets and monetizing them
  • History of building and maintaining a thriving and inclusive culture

 

A valid driver’s license, satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle record check, and, if the position requires use of applicant’s own vehicle, proof of insurance, is required.


Pay Transparency: The anticipated starting base salary range for California based individuals expressing interest in this position is $250,000.00 to $275,000. Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities and location of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity.
