We are looking for a new team member to help strengthen our client relationships. This position offers guided autonomy and some flexibility to manage your own schedule. This position interfaces with our clients and other team members daily.

 

Your personality characteristics:

You’re organized. You keep can create a schedule and stick to it. Part of exceeding expectations is organizing your schedule and sticking to it.

You’re a good communicator. You let people know when you are running late or when you finish up your work. We believe good communication fosters good client relationships, so communicating with colleagues and customers is an important part of your job.

You’re a good note taker. Documentation is a big part of the job. This includes documenting any interaction with customers; including sales, service, and support. In addition to that we document client networks, software license information, checklists, and passwords.

You’re self-motivated. We work as a team, but a lot of times we work independently too. So, if you’re working from home or working onsite at a client we need you to have the drive to get the work done on time.

Your skills:

Yes, this job has a lot of customer service requirements, but it also requires some pretty awesome technical abilities as well.

Here is what we are looking for:

  • Some project management skills to help organize and move forward with new customer onboardings preferred. Attention to detail and thoroughness is important for this role.
  • An eye for detail and the ability to spot when things are not aligned with best practice standards will help to excel in this position.
  • Server experience. We work with Windows Server and Vmware ESXi on a daily basis. Understanding these is a must and some troubleshooting experience is a must.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure/Entra, Intune, and other aspects of Microsoft cloud environments.
  • Ability to diagnose and fix hardware and software issues for both desktops and servers, including Active Directory, Email, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, etc.
  • Experience with Hypervisors such as VMware ESXi and Hyper-V.
  • Experience in troubleshooting network related issues that can be related to network infrastructure such as switches and routers.
  • Good troubleshooting skills and methodology.
  • Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, subnetting, etc.)
  • Remote access technologies (VPN, terminal services, etc.)

More Awesome…

  • You have been in the tech industry for more than 2 years and it would be great if you have previous Managed Services experience.
  • Certifications such as A+, MCSE, MCTS, MCITP, CNE, CCNA, VCP would be great, but not required
  • Experience with PSA/Ticketing system and RMM Tools

 

If you are the right person, this position is an opportunity with no ceiling, we promote from within. We need a motivated person to come in and take the reins to nurture and grow our downtown relationships. We will provide the guidance and support backing when necessary, you bring your customer service game.

 

This position requires that you serve customers in the Downtown Chicago area and loop as well as some suburb clients. If you don’t live in the city or you don’t want to commute downtown multiple days each week this is not the right position for you. Let’s be respectful of each other’s time.

 

The compensation for this position will range from $60,000 to $90,000 plus annual bonus dependent on your experience and qualifications for this role.
