The Director of Fiduciary Solutions at Focus Financial Partners ('Focus') will be responsible for leading a rollout of trust and estate value added planning capabilities to advisors at Focus Firms.
Focus has built centralized partnerships with best in class directed trust companies in South Dakota, Delaware and Tennessee. The Director of Fiduciary Solutions would have trust and estate expertise, specific knowledge of modern trust law & bifurcated trusts and previous experience guiding clients and/or advisors in such matters.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial, solution-oriented professional who will make an immediate contribution and play a pivotal role in establishing and growing this value-added area for Focus Financial Partners.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
1. T&E Knowledge & Leadership:
a. Partner with Focus firms to identify trust & estate related opportunities for their clients
b. Educate Focus firms and share insight on a broad range of trust & estate opportunities, including structure, situs, investment manager interaction and an understanding of family/beneficiary dynamics and needs
c. Work with Focus leadership to develop and implement strategy and processes for trust and fiduciary related activities
d. Establish and build trust-based relationships with Focus firms and their advisors. Manage day to day relationships with 3rd party Trust Partners. Demonstrate professionalism and integrity in every interaction.
2. New Business Development Consultation:
a. Partner with Focus firms to help them understand T&E related client needs and fiduciary business opportunities. Support advisors at Focus Firms on new business development opportunities relating to T&E.
3. Relationship Management
a. Demonstrate creativity and expertise while consulting advisors at Focus firms on all T&E matters
b. Demonstrate ability to tactfully and professionally decline trust opportunities, while maintaining client relationships
c. Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills and presentation skills
d. Demonstrate detail orientation with exceptional sales and analytical skills
e. Ability to multi-task; meet deadlines and manage institutional relations and client expectations
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 10 years trust and estate planning experience
JD and Trust Officer experience required; History of successfully leading a group of Trust & Estate Officers a plus
Family office experience a plus
