Boeing Global Services (BGS) is seeking a Senior Technical Training Specialist (Virtual) to join the BGS team. In this role, the focus will be on overseeing the review and evaluation of Customer Technical Training needs to determine appropriate training content, objectives and design. The selected candidate will oversee activities for the development, delivery and evaluation of Technical Training. They will also develop training concepts, techniques, and processes. This position will also use specialized software technology to research, configure, maintain, update and develop new and existing media and materials. In this role, you will gather and analyze data to support complete proposal development activities, as well as ensuring accuracy and quality of training products. The Senior Technical Training Specialist presents proposals to customer and participates in defining contract statement of work. This position consults with and coaches others regarding final product quality.

This position has been identified as a virtual work opportunity which requires the ability to work from home unless on travel. Working virtual will allow you to work from any US location including: Mesa, AZ, Virginia, Chicago, IL, Colorado Springs, CO, Sacramento, CA, Seal Beach, CA, or Virginia Beach, VA.

To be selected for this role, the candidate must live within two hours of a major airport, with multiple scheduled airline operations and able to travel on short notice both internationally and domestically.

Candidate must have ability to travel both domestically and internationally up to 50% – with short notice and for extended periods, anywhere in the world and for potentially extended periods of time. (Must obtain and possess current passport).

Position Responsibilities:

  • Analyzing flight data

  • Analyzing and designing pilot training

  • Make recommendations for targeted training

  • Coordinate with teams to define requirements for flight training courseware

  • Collaborating with Airline customers on flight data analytics and related training

  • Collaborate with Regulatory Authorities and Industry Groups

The position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a “US Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. “US Person” includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience in Global Flight Operations as a Pilot in Boeing Airplanes

  • 5+ years of experience as a safety professional supporting Part 121, Part 135, complex Part 91 or equivalent U.S. military in aviation operations

  • 5+ years of experience conducting aerospace auditing or operational data analysis

  • Previously type rated on a Boeing commercial transport aircraft

  • Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Experience with flight training courseware development

  • Experience with flight operations analysis

  • Experience being a quality lead

  • Experience being a safety lead

  • Experience in being a crew resource management instructor

  • Experience with Competency Based Training and Assessment

  • Experience in being a pilot mentor, instructor mentor or standards captain

  • Experience with Instructional Design Methodologies

  • Experience working with National Aviation Authority/Regulator

Typical Education & Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 14 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience (e.g. PhD+9 years' related work experience, Master+12 years' related work experience, 18 years' related work experience, etc.).

Relocation:

This position does not offer relocation.

Summary pay range: 127,500 – 172,500.
