We want to hire an experienced, consistent, and ambitious Senior Technology Lead Technician.

The ideal candidate has excellent communication skills and a customer service mindset. They will have a broad knowledge of technologies, can communicate with clients, comprehensively understand needs, and be passionate about implementing complete solutions.

We are looking to find an individual who thrives in a multifaceted role. The role requires acting independently to top tier support and solutions. This role will also include the cultivation of junior members and team building.

Responsibilities and Duties

The Senior Technology Lead Technician requires experience in technology, project management, and exemplary internal personal skills.

You enjoy engineering complete solutions that leverage modern technology to meet a client’s security and compliance needs.

This position may also be included in such tasks as discovery meetings, site assessments, proposals and presentations, project implementation, and account management. They will also be encouraged to provide input regarding the viability of prospective clients, vendors, and new hires.

This position will require the following skills and experience.

· Performs complex problem solving and assistance on diverse software applications and hardware systems for department users and/or the university community.

· Provides in-depth individual and/or group instruction and training users and clients on new or updated technologies.

· May supervise or provide functional direction to junior techs and employees performing the same or similar type of work.

· Performs diverse technical assistance, documents findings and performs maintenance duties in support of a large unit that may encompass a variety of user support needs.

· Maintains, updates and audits record keeping systems; documents projects, writes and maintains user instructions.

· Oversees, maintains, and inputs applicable records such as, but not limited to, network users, security, and tracking inventory levels of equipment and materials.

· Performs advanced technological systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems; troubleshoots and resolves complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts.

· Participates in and/or leads the review, evaluation and recommendation of solutions relating to hardware and software acquisitions and/or network updates.

· Participates in and/or leads research and development initiatives and provides assistance in the implementation of new technologies.

· Serves as a primary project member on technology projects with large scope and impact; may lead and integrate the work of other technicians.

· Oversees and performs the installation, configuration and maintenance of computers, networks, workstations and/or other related equipment and devices.

· Maintains currency of knowledge with respect to technology, equipment, applicable laws, regulations, standards and/or systems.

· Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.

 

Skills:

  • Minimum of T3 tech skillset five years hands-on experience configuring, troubleshooting, and repairing networking equipment, Windows servers and workstations, and Office 365 and Azure management.
  • Experience in a client-facing environment such as sales engineering a plus
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and is comfortable working with clients at a business level to understand their current and historic issues regarding their business and technology
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects, set deadlines, and adjust priorities appropriately in an evolving work environment.
  • Bonus: Experience with MSP technology stacks.
  • Experience with meeting compliance standards (i.e. ISO / IEC 27001, SOC 2, NIST, HIPAA, SFPB / SEC, FINRA, etc.) a plus. Must understand frameworks
    • Understanding and Applying a framework a must.
  • MUST-Ability to create basic scripts for PowerShell or RMM tools.
  • MUST-Ability to engineer and support a range of network configurations and infrastructure.
