Job Summary
Under the direction of the Administrative Director and the Field Systems Administrator, installs, tests, maintains, documents, and provides full technical support for personal computers, networks and mid-range systems for software and hardware for the enterprise information systems. Responsible for the overall coordination, control and maintenance of the information systems within the enterprise to insure operability, compatibility and integration with enterprise strategies. Performs product evaluation and testing. Assists in planning software and hardware changes, and provides direction and assistance to the subordinate systems analyst's staff. Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree is required.
Four (4) years of full-time work experience as a Computer Field Technician, supplemented with a current CompTIA A certification is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 platform is required.
Experience with networking essentials and wireless connectivity is required.
Valid driver's license and proof of automobile insurance is required.

Possession of a High School Diploma or General Education Development (GED) certificate is required.
Eight (8) years of full-time work experience as a Computer Field Technician is required.
Experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 platform is required.
Experience with networking essentials and wireless connectivity is required.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND OTHER CHARACTERISTICSKnowledge and ability to perform system upgrades and system fine-tuning. Knowledge of computer hardware and software environments. Knowledge of operating systems management including file, library and directory maintenance. Knowledge and interest in emerging information technology products and services. Thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows 10 platform including familiarity with Apple iOS and Android. Skill and in the development and maintenance of systems, problem analysis and resolution techniques. Skill in the evaluation of hardware and software; ability to accurately identify and report relevant and significant findings to appropriate personnel. Skill in the design and implementation of data security measures. Skill and proficiency in the installation of hardware and software. Skill and knowledge covering a wide range of current uses, modern applications and systems developments in the PC, mid-range and related environments. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to function in a highly independent manner in the execution of all job duties. Ability to do programming debugging, data analysis, system analysis and problem resolution of an advanced nature. Ability to utilize advanced skills and knowledge to deal predominantly with the more difficult, complex and demanding problems and issues arising in connection with network administration and support services. Ability to assist in the review, discussion and corresponding deployment of departmental and enterprise policies, standards and procedures. Ability to provide leadership, instruction and direction to other Analysts, users and staff. Ability to supervise professional staff as required. Ability to support applications and operations. Ability to travel to all Department of Transportation and Highways buildings, including downtown and District facilities.
