Job Description
Frost Brown Todd LLP is currently seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to join our firm. This individual's primary focus will be on successful delivery of applications that meet the needs of our attorneys and business professionals, and will include a primary role in product assessment and selection, project planning, testing and delivery to the user community.
This position can be filled in Cincinnati, OH; Indianapolis, IN or Louisville, KY.
Responsibilities Include:
- Serving as technical lead for projects working with software vendors and members of the FBT Network, Development and Security Teams to install, test, implement and maintain software systems on premise and in the cloud.
- Consulting with management on details of systems when evaluating recommendations for improvement.
- Liaising with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution and escalate to IT leadership when required.
- Analyzing applications to meet specific firm, department, practice group and user needs.
- Performing Server and Desktop Operating Systems administration.
- Developing roadmaps for current and future software updates.
- Establishing implementation of standards such as configuration and Change Management.
- Demonstrating advanced technical knowledge as an active and collaborative member of the Applications Team.
- Cross-training and mentor team members on systems where you are the lead engineer.
- Providing third-level support to Desktop Team, including but not limited to anything requiring specialized expertise, security permissions, or contacting vendor for support.
- Developing and maintaining firm PC images.
- Regular, predictable and punctual attendance at the designated worksite.
- In person interaction with other FBT personnel, clients and/or representatives at the worksite.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Systems or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years of software systems implementation upgrades, maintenance, and support.
- Experience with software management and distribution with Microsoft SCCM.
- Active Directory administration experience - group policy creation, editing, and troubleshooting.
- Experience with PowerShell scripting.
- Experience with Windows 10 Desktop, Windows Server 2008 /2008R2, Exchange, and SQL Server.
- Administrative experience with MS Office 365, SharePoint, document management systems and law firm CRM.
- Experience documenting and maintaining standard configurations for laptops and desktops with Windows 10, reviewing new hardware releases and recommending/managing all upgrades.
