As a Senior Network Engineer at ADS, you will play a pivotal role in designing, implementing, securing, monitoring, and maintaining the organization's network infrastructure including, but not limited to, Azure, Data Centers, Firewalls, LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi. You will assist in leading the network team, creating, and maintaining network documentation and diagrams, monitoring network performance, identifying and recommending solutions for improvement, and providing expert-level support. As a senior engineer, you will need to communicate clearly with all levels of the organization, IT leadership, project management teams, and our business partners. Other expectations for this role include mentoring fellow engineers, coordinating tasks with contractors and managed service providers, and working projects through to completion as assigned.
Primary Job Responsibilities:
The responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to:
- Provide design assistance, deployment, and support for solutions that can be new, integrated with legacy systems, or upgrades of current systems with minor supervision.
- Ensure proper configuration and customization to support the Enterprise environment for all ADS locations.
- Proactively manage standards, topology documentation, configuration files, performance baselines, and capacity planning roadmaps.
- Troubleshoot network related problem areas and issues as needed to resolve operational issues and restore/optimize services.
- Perform installation, configuration, and operation of any new or existing voice and data infrastructure device(s) and supporting software across the enterprise.
- Project management skills / ability to handle multiple projects with competing priorities.
- Other network team related responsibilities as required.
- Collaborate to support architecting repeatable, reliable, and scalable networks with fault tolerance, performance tuning, system monitoring, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery in mind.
Job Skills:
This position should possess the following skills/knowledge:
- 5+ years' experience in a multi-site multi-vendor environment, consisting of at least 1500+ endpoints.
- Ability to deliver complex technical projects within a defined schedule.
- Must be able to prioritize workload and work effectively across multiple efforts / projects with limited supervision.
- Ability to implement repeatable, reliable, and scalable network architectures with fault tolerance, performance tuning, system monitoring, statistics/metrics collection, and disaster recovery in mind.
- Able to implement and manage security measures and protocols according to industry best practices.
Educational Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in MS, IT, or computer information systems
- Equivalent network related work experience will also be considered
Preferred Experience:
- Multiple successful implementations of (including the ability to setup, configure, upgrade, manage, and troubleshoot) LAN, WAN, and Wi-Fi
- CCNA - (CCNP or CCIE preferred)
- Familiarity with F5 VIP or other Load Balancing technologies
- Familiarity with Aruba, Cisco, Meraki, Palo Alto technologies
- Experience with Cellular solutions for IOT devices
- RF / Wi-Fi design and troubleshooting tools (examples: Ekahau, Hamina)
- Designed and implemented connectivity and or integration solutions for M&A activity
- Experience with vendor management with solid influence and negotiating skills
- Experience deploying and or migrating to new vendor platforms
- Experience configuring and supporting network infrastructure for OT environments.
- Familiarity with network automation scripting languages (ex. Python, Perl) and/or tools (ex. Ansible, Puppet, Chef)
