Job Overview:

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Senior Director of Content Strategy. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker with a deep understanding of the educational ecosystem and a proven track record of creating impactful professional development content.

Responsibilities:

  • Content Strategy Leadership: Collaborate with the VP of Content Development and Social Impact to develop and execute a comprehensive Content Strategy aligned with the company's mission, vision, values, and goals. Support the development and implementation of Content development processes that increase efficiency and velocity and that drive innovation.
  • Team Management: Inspire a team of Content developers, instructional technologists, instructional multimedia specialists, and subject matter experts to create high-quality, impactful, and engaging professional development content.
  • Innovation and Trends: Stay abreast of educational trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to ensure that our content remains cutting-edge and relevant.
  • Collaboration: Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including marketing, sales, and product management, to ensure seamless integration of Content strategies across the organization.
  • Measure Impact: Articulate metrics needed to ensure that our products have the intended outcomes and track progress toward team and company goals.
  • Quality Assurance: Implement and maintain quality assurance processes to ensure the accuracy, effectiveness, and alignment of Content with industry standards (& specifically ensuring that our content adheres to IACET accreditation standards).

Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: A master's or doctoral degree in education, instructional strategy, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 8 years of experience in Content Strategy, curriculum development, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Educational Expertise: In-depth knowledge of education systems, professional development practices, and familiarity with the challenges and opportunities within the education sector.
  • Leadership Skills: Proven ability to lead and motivate a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Innovative Thinking: Demonstrated ability to think creatively, identify opportunities for innovation, and implement new ideas.
  • Technology Skills: Familiarity with educational technology tools and platforms.
