Form of work Cordia Resources by Cherry Bekaert is partnered with a full-service strategic communications and marketing firm who is seeking a Senior Staff Accountant to join their team on a full time basis.
Title: Senior Staff Accountant
Location: Hybrid - Bethesda, MD
Salary Range: $75,000 - $85,000
Job Type: Direct Hire
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day accounting activities for the firm including accounts payable, and general ledger/journal entries.
Complete monthly credit card and bank reconciliations.
Assist with bi-weekly payroll, 401(k) administration, and other benefits support.
Execute contract administration via Monday.com, Sage Intacct, and Databasics.
Assist in annual insurance renewal process.
Assist with documentation for annual tax preparation.
Perform ad hoc requests as requested by supervisor or firm leadership.
Qualifications and Skills:Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field with at least 4 years of direct experience.
Prior experience with federal government contracts is highly desirable.
Excellent Excel skills (pivot table, complex formulas, Vlookup, and modeling)
Previous experience using Sage Intacct is preferred.
Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to build relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
Strong work ethic and ability to independently manage workload.
Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage firm deadlines.
Flexibility to quickly adapt when other high priority needs cause priorities to change.
