Senior SQL Database Administrator - Sygma - US
Pay: $91,000.00 - $136,400.00
Summary:
Our SYGMA Business Technology Team (BTT) is currently seeking an experienced Senior SQL Database Developer / Data Architect.
As an organization we work fast with many overlapping projects, the ideal candidate we are looking for is someone who has extensive knowledge of databases including: SQL Server Setup, Data Replication, Database Design and Development using best practices, Query Performance Tuning, Query Analysis, Server Troubleshooting, SQL Server and Extraction, Transfer and Load (ETL), and enterprise networking systems. In this role you will also help oversee the design, development, and implementation of software systems, applications, and related products.
To be successful in this role the individual will be unafraid to work in a high-pressure environment with a willingness to roll up their sleeves and assist in finding creative solutions to assorted technical problems.
We are open to remote work, but if you reside near our Dublin, OH corporate office we like to build teams by collaborating in person on a Hybrid schedule.
Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or related field

Experience:
  • Ten (10) years of experience planning, designing, building, and implementing databases and/or enterprise database architecture systems

Skills and Abilities:
  • Ability to manage SQL Server databases; Configure, troubleshoot, and maintain database servers and processes.
  • Developing and implementing an overall organizational data strategy that is in line with business processes. The strategy includes data model designs, database development standards, implementation and management of data warehouses and data analytics systems.
  • Proven experience with systems planning, security principles, and general software management best practices; extensive knowledge of databases, enterprise networking systems, advanced problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage projects.
  • Integrate new systems and functions like security, performance, scalability, reliability and data recovery.
  • Managing end-to-end data architecture, from selecting the platform, designing the technical architecture, and developing the application to finally testing and implementing the proposed solution.
  • Help to develop and enforce database development standards.
  • Develop measures that ensure data accuracy, integrity and accessibility.
  • Expertise in reading, writing, tuning, and executing data queries to fill business requirements.
  • Design, development, and implementation of ETL solutions using solutions like SSIS, Stored Procedures, or external applications.
  • Design, tuning, and development of stored procedures, indexes, functions, views, and triggers.
  • Data management and reporting technologies, predictive analytics, data visualization and unstructured data.
  • Ability to create data automation processes to create better efficiencies using tools such as SSIS, Scheduled Jobs, or the use of external applications.
  • Design, document, build and implement database architectures and applications.
  • Agile methodologies and enterprise resource planning implementation
  • Strong technical knowledge of Cloud technologies
